Traveling Towards the Tiber

I've spent the last few days packing and unpacking and packing again in anticipation for this semester abroad.  And now I'm here.  As I sit at the desk in my room, I can see St. Peter's from my window.  It's like a postcard in my back yard.

My backyard, the Pope's house!

The flight was okay, I met JD who was headed to Florence for the semester.  The most difficult part of my day was probably getting my bags and then walking to the Hilton.  Up an elevator, a long walk, down an elevator, and we were almost there.  My shoulders are sore, but it's okay because I'll get to bed early tonight and wake up early for part one of our orientation tomorrow.

So now that my internet is working, I've gotten to shower, and my roommates are all napping, I am finally going to unpack.

Pictures to come soon I hope (as soon as I can figure out how to get them from iphoto to this blog)!
