Santo Spirito - A Cultural Experience

So some of you may know that I got really sick.  Thankfully, Katherine's aunt's friends are doctors and they took me to the hospital and now I'm fine.  But after three days in an Italian public hospital, I am able to appreciate everything I have access to in the States a lot more.  I didn't take any pictures while I was in the hospital, and daddy has the only picture of us from when he came to make sure I was okay.  So this week (since nothing else eventful was going on), I stopped by the hospital to take a few quick shots after buying my sleeping bag for camping at Oktoberfest.

Camping store.

Aforementioned sleeping bag.

Bus stop.

A strange fountain.

Lyres in Rome

We visited the Vatican Museums yesterday during the special Friday night hours.  Below is the beginning of a post that will be consistently updated as I find more Alpha Chi Omega related things in Rome!

Lyrebird!

Woman playing Lyre #1

Woman playing Lyre #2
Child playing Lyre.

The whole scene.

Every time I saw a Lyre, I got so excited!

It's really hard to see, but a man is carrying a Lyre in this scene.
A Seahorse!  My favorite animal :)

Hera!

Me with Hera!  I forgot to do the AXO sign, but my roommate Danielle has one that I will post eventually.
I randomly turned around and found this hiding on the window sill.

This is for my little Michelle who loves elephants.

Lyrebird mosaic on the floor.

We're not positive if this is a Lyre, but it seems like it is Lyre-shaped.

After this point, my camera died, but my roommates did take some pictures for me that I will post as soon as they're uploaded!

Gelato - Old Bridge (9/8) and Dinner (9/9)

Our RA Josh took us to Old Bridge with some other residents.  Danielle's gelato was 2 euro.  And it's massive.

I got Bacio and Straciatella.

Tonight Katherine made dinner.  She made carbonara and Sara made a caprese type salad.

After dinner, we went to the Vatican for the night museum viewing hours we booked.  My camera died half-way through, so I'll post pictures from that (AXO/lyre/Hera pictures) as soon as my roommates upload the photos they took for me.

Finding CopyPoint - Adventures with Sara

We had to buy a course packet for our Cinema class, so we got directions and headed on our way.  The map was really confusing because the streets change names sometimes and the directions covered up the first name of the street we needed to turn on to.  So we walked by the cat sanctuary.

Eventually we found where to go.  But then they said come back in ten minutes to get the packet.  So we walked around a little bit.

I went in this building even though I think I was on private property.  But the inside was pretty.

This is the fountain in the piazza by CopyPoint.

Then we walked by the cat sanctuary again on the way to the bus stop.  This kitty reminds me of Chipotle.

We took the 64 back to our apartment and I didn't take any pictures of that.
